Samsung B7610 Omnia PRO

Samsung B7610 Omnia PRO

Samsung are not quite the standard-setter in communicator devices but are obviously keen to have their say. Playing catch up seems well in order for a debut but we guess someone here is set to play for keeps. The Samsung B7610 OmniaPRO is a generously spec'd device that's poised to tackle the best in the class and even raise the bet. While sheer size and scope confine it to a niche, the Samsung communicator might be just the right option for those served by that niche.

Samsung I8000 Omnia II

The design of the Samsung Omnia II I8000 is simple and straightforward.  It closely resembles the but is bigger and loses the touch of red on the back.  The phone exists to show off the giant 3.7” display, and everything else is kept to a bare minimum.  The front of the phone has a tiny front-facing camera at the top next to the speaker.  On the bottom are the Send and End keys, as well as the Cube key.  The left side has a volume rocker, the right a lock, OK and camera key.

Bought ML2510 for $65 at OfficeMax. Found toner for $30 for 3,000 copies at supermediastore.com. Bought a second ML2510 at CompUSA. No problems in almost 2 years. I use a d-link router to network it with five PCs and a Mac.

Samsung Mantra M340

Samsung Mantra M340

With its black-and-gray color scheme and simple lines, the Samsung Mantra has a plain yet pleasant design. The silver line across the front face adds a bit of style, but this is hardly a phone that will stand out in the crowd. At 3.8 inches by 1.87 inches by 0.69 inch and 3.35 ounces, the Mantra isn't tiny, but you can carry it around easily in a pocket or bag. It has a plastic skin, but the hinge feels sturdy.
