Groove Shoes is the culmination of an entire pallet of influences;
consisting of musicians from Vermont, Massachusetts, California, and
Sweden. Formed in early 2010, the group now consists of:Molly Steinmark – Vocals, Percussion, Drums
Killian Karlsson – Guitar, Turn Tables
Matt Clegg – Bass
Sam French – Drums, GuitarGroove Shoes is based in Western Ma/Southern VT, an area with a rich
cultural tradition of music and arts. Traveling throughout the
Northeast, they regularly play in Boston/Cambridge, and New York City.
They will be touring throughout the Eastern U.S. during the Winter of
2012.Their self-titled debut album, recorded at Playonbrother Studios by
engineering and mixing genius, Alan Evans (Soulive), promises to please!
The record features seven original tunes written by Sam and Molly, as
well as a surprising twist on the Gershwin classic, “Summertime”. With
features from Soul singer & organist Nigel Hall, to over dubs by
Alan Evans on percussion and keys, this album is packed full of energy
that makes you want to send it back to the top!
