Michael Jeffery Jordan was born on February 17, 1963. He is a retired professional basketball player and currently plays the role of a succeeding businessman.His basketball career started at an early stage. He actually was denied to play in his sophomore year of high school because he was too short. As time passed by he was scoring up to 25 or more points per game. When he was a senior in high school he was one of those selected to play for the McDonalds All-American Team scholarship at the University of North Carolina, which later on gained him a basketball scholarship. One of the most memorable moments of his early stages was March 29, 1982 when he made the last shot with only 16 seconds left at the National Collegiate Athletic Association game. With that last shot he was able to win his team championship for the first time in 25 years. Michael even left North Carolina one year before his graduation to enter the 1984 NBA draft. He became a more dominate basketball player in the 1990’s. Jordan went from playing basketball to baseball. He received 5 MVP awards. He continuously went from retiring to playing basketball once again but finally retired his basketball carrier in April of 2003. Michael “Air” Jordan gained his nick name due to the highness of his slam dunks. He wore uniform number 23, and to this day he is still seen as one of the best basketball players ever.Michael Jordan is a businessman, from shoes to his own restaurant. His shoe business is something that would have to be a demand now-a-days. His “Air Jordan” shoes first launched in 1985 and remain extremely popular to this day. His shoes are released each year even though he retired from playing basketball. The shoes are classified by the year or number they came out. The Jordan shoes are only released on a specific day, most of the times on Saturdays.
